Diversity and Inclusion
This week, the children explored the theme of Diversity and Inclusion, learning that everyone is unique and special.
The children looked at themselves in mirrors and created self-portraits using paper plates, paint, and playdough. They talked about their features, described themselves, and discussed how we are all different but equally important.
We read the story “We Are All Different”, which encouraged conversations about individuality, kindness, and respecting others. The children also created people using a variety of materials and shared ideas about what makes each person special.
A highlight of the week was our Tasting Days, where families brought in foods from different countries. The children enjoyed trying new flavours and learning about different cultures from around the world.
Through creative activities, stories, and discussions, the children developed a greater understanding of diversity and learned to celebrate the differences that make us unique.
Thank you to all the families who contributed to our Tasting Days.
