“Making New Friends and Feelings.” 🌈😊

This week, our topic was “Making New Friends and Feelings”

The children have been learning about friendship, kindness, sharing and recognising different emotions. During circle time, we talked about how we were feeling and encouraged the children to express their emotions and listen to how their friends were feeling too.

We enjoyed lots of group activities and games, giving the children opportunities to play together, take turns, share resources and build new friendships. As part of our creative activities, the children worked together to create a beautiful rainbow, practising cooperation and sharing while enjoying being creative. 🌈🎨

Throughout the week, we also continued developing our fine motor skills through different hands-on activities, helping to strengthen the children’s hand and finger control.

The children also explored early maths skills, including counting, recognising numbers, sorting and using mathematical language during play and adult-led activities. 🔢

It has been a lovely week of learning how to be a good friend, understanding our feelings and developing important social skills through play.
