Personal Hygiene Education Week
This week the children took part in Personal Hygiene Education Week. During this time they learned about the importance of keeping their bodies clean and healthy.
The children explored why washing hands is important and how germs spread. As part of our activities, they carried out a “Glitter Germs Experiment.” We used glitter and oil to represent germs. The children touched cups and plates to see how quickly the “germs” spread from one surface to another. This helped them understand how easily germs can pass from person to person.
The children also learned how to keep their bodies clean. They practised daily washing using sponges and soap, and talked about the different times when it is important to wash their hands, such as before eating, after using the toilet, and after playing outside.
It was a fun and engaging week that helped the children understand how good hygiene keeps us healthy.
